I had the pleasure of dining at Grille 620 during their soft opening. The beet goat cheese salad was delicious. We also got the ahi tuna appetizer, which was amazing served with seaweed salad. My favorite dish of the night was the honey miso salmon, which was the perfect combination of salty and a little sweet. The waitstaff was very friendly, and immensely helpful when choosing menu items. I will definitely be returning!

First I will say that I love this place. Great beer on tap, great cocktail selection and a nice bottle selection as well. I'm always on the lookout for a nice bar to have a few good drinks after work. The bartenders are knowledgeable and fun. For the food, I ate there last night and had the gnocchi and lobster. The sauce is rich and creamy and the lobster was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this dish. I tried the crab Napoleon and was equally impressed. The creme brûlée was exquisite as well. I will definitely be back. The food is great, the service is first class, and the bartender is great. Love this place.

Birthday dinner for husband so we ventured all the way out to Ellicott City and after searching a bit in the strip mall finally found the place, pleased with its urbane atmosphere. Nice selection of beers (about a dozen on tap and dozens more in bottles), wines and cocktails. They pitch themselves as a grill and raw bar but we weren't feeling oysters. What we had: Complementary bread - great fresh bread Tuna tartar - well done with a larger-than-usual helping of tuna Farmer's table meat and cheese plate - good, more cheese than meat Shrimp cocktail - standard and good, huge shrimp Lobster roll - nice crisp bread and tasty lobster although lighter than usual, might have benefited from the bun being grilled and buttered Bison burger - perfectly cooked to order, chipotle complementing the sweet flavor of the bun Yum-yum burger -decadent, highlight of the meal, cooked to order rare, did not skimp on the Bearnaise, this burger will fill you up Parmesan garlic fries - came with all sandwiches, thin, crispy, enjoyed by all Cauliflower - big head of roasted cauliflower lightly seasoned Brussel Sprouts - also lightly seasoned and good Bread pudding - hot slice of chocolate chip bread covered in limoncello sauce, weren't sure about it but the limoncello sauce was creamy, not too lemony, made for an interesting and enjoyable pairing. Service was a real highlight. Our server Mario really added to the experience, striking a perfect balance of being enthusiastic, quick, and knowledgeable while also being never-pushy, considerate and attentive. Also dessert was comped in honor of the birthday boy. This place is a strong 4 stars. Would have given 5 stars but, while all the food was high quality and satisfying, there was nothing on the menu that was truly innovative or exceptional.

Decided to try for Mother's Day dinner. The atmosphere is comfortable but classy. The food was great. However, they were out of the item the mother in the party wanted. That plus the dull steak knife coupled with a good cut of meat (but not the best) made this a four not five. Our service was superb and hubby and I are thinking about when we will visit again. Living about 15-20 minutes away, it's definitely a nice option for when we don't want to drive into downtown Baltimore or DC.

Had a Friday 7:30pm reservation thru Open Table and were seated without a problem (Restaurant Week). The 4 of us ordered from the RW menu. The amuse-bouche was a rather simple stuffed egg with a small piece of lobster claw meat. I don't care for eggs so I didn't eat it, but the other 3 at the table said they were tasty and had a little spiciness. Apps: I chose gazpacho, which isn't on the regular menu. It was a much larger portion than I expected and, while fresh-tasting, was overpowered by too much cucumber. The others each had cold poached shrimp in whipped burrata which they enjoyed. (While not part of the RW deal, we also shared the crab & artichoke dip which was delicious, rich and plenty for all 4 of us). Entrees: two of us had the steak & frites, one had Alaskan char, and one had lamb chops. All good but no one was "wowed." Included in RW was dessert. Two had flourless chocolate cake and two had key lime pie - again, good but not amazing. Our waiter was personable and proficient, and happy to make recommendations for both food and drink. I would go back again - our friends said their happy hour has good deals, and it's a nice atmosphere with an extensive and varied wine & beer list.

My group of friends and I are no strangers to Grille 620...we have celebrated practically every momentous occasion here. At first we were limiting our visits to birthday celebrations, but we quickly realized that we needed more of Fabio's exquisite creations more frequently, and so just like that, Grille 620 has landed itself in the top three of our chosen dining destinations. We are always excited to hear about nightly food specials, but no matter what, we always, always, always begin the meal with the tuna tartare and the steak strips!! The tuna is hands down the best we've ever had. Sometimes I'll order steak strips as my main course as well, paired with a delightful saffron risotto and/or the perfectly seasoned and prepared brussels sprouts. The yum yum burger is always a crowd pleaser. The salads are forever fresh and flavorful and as we slowly work our way through the whole menu we find that it becomes increasingly difficult to pinpoint just one item on it as our favorite. Bread pudding or creme brulee for dessert always finish the evening off to perfection. We are bar people and typically prefer sitting in the bar area where the bartenders all treat you as if you're family, although service in the main dining area has never been anything short of outstanding! The staff is polite, well trained and always ready to go the extra mile to make us feel welcome and at ease. If I had one area of constructive criticism to offer, it would be that I wish Grille 620 would open a second location closer to my home. We travel 45 minutes each way to get here...but it's well worth the drive every time!

Providing a very pleasant environment Grille 620 has a very warm feel for having dinner or grabbing a drink for happy hour. In my own experience i found that their short happy hour menu (bar-only) was quite adequate. Although you pay happy hour prices ($7) they are not small portions. They also served dollar oysters as well. Grille 620 does not introduce anything out of the ordinary, however, it is just a good restaurant. Definitely a place to check out if your in the area.

My wife and I decided to try Grille 620 when we had plans to go out with another couple. Everything we had was delicious! We started our feast with some oysters on the half shell, grilled octopus, and carpaccio. The carpaccio was absolutely amazing! Next we had a few salads which were also good. For our entrées the boys chose the cowboy ribeye and the ladies had a filet. The steaks were lightly seasoned and broiled to perfection. Oh, did I mention they have a great selection of bourbon and whiskey. And the chef makes the limoncello in house. We went on a busy Saturday night and the service was great. Wonderful experience overall. Can't wait to go back soon.

Just had brunch the Grill 620. The sever, Drew, was excellent. He pointed out the more outstanding items. My wife had the lobster roll an old bay vinaigrette - outstanding! I had the breakfast burger which had bacon and a fried egg. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the egg oozed its deliciousness all over it. Top five best burgers ever. Will definitely be back!!!!

This place is AMAZING! My husband & I went here with our 11 month old son last weekend for dinner. My husband got the caesar salad & a NY strip, I got the grilled octopus app & lobster gnocchi for my entree. Our food could not have been more perfect in every way. The service was top notch, the atmosphere was incredible, & they have an extensive beer & wine selection. We look forward to going back.

This is a pretty good place. We came here on a Saturday evening with some family members and everyone seemed to have a good time. I really don't think you could go wrong with anything on their menu. This is the second time I have been here, and each time, we have thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This time, I opted for the bison burger that was well-seasoned and came with a cornucopia of french fries. On both occasions, the staff have been great. Our last waiter (Anthony/Tony), was amazing and he made sure that everyone was enjoying their meals. Despite it being closed to closing, he was really accommodating to our requests and it was deeply appreciated.
(5)Ann K.
We swung by here after work. The happy hour ends at 6:20 pm, $8 app and some discount on beer and wine. I like to sit by the bar with more crowd than the big dining hall. It has a few TVs too. They offers pre-fixe at $30 pp. The black ink seafood pasta got me excited but the ink flavor is a bit loss. lots of seafood for the price. The waitress is lovely and accommodating. The ambience and food is fine but not to the point that I rave about it. The creme brulee and bread pudding are pretty good.
(3)Steve D.
What a gem of a place. The entire team at Grille 620 went out of their way to serve our party of 25 this past Monday. They put together a customized Pris Fixe menu. Service was top shelf from Apps through Dessert. The food was flavorful and imaginative with excellent plating and presentation. If ever back in the area, I would make the extra effort to return.
(5)Kip H.
Excellent menu and food! The grilled octopus is a must, either as appetizer or in grill seafood trio. Love the beet salad!

Fine dining has come to Howard County through Grille620, a truly nonpareil restaurant located in a new commercial development off of I-70. The atmosphere offered by Grille620 is unlike any offered by the esteemed restaurants in downtown Baltimore or on the bay in Annapolis. Grille620 puts a twenty-first century spin on elegancy by serving sophisticated food in an establishment that still has the "neighborhood bar" undertone that eliminates the pretentiousness found in so many upscale restaurants. The dining room has an ergonomic layout and provides patrons with a full gamut of possibilities, from a cozy table for two nestled in the corner to a much longer option for large parties. Juxtaposing the more formalistic dining room, the bar, segregated by a half-wall, has television tuned to the latest news and sporting events. Let me be clear: although football might be on in the background, Grille620 is NOT a sports bar. The bar offers diners a more relaxed setting to enjoy the delectable surf and turf for which Grille620 is best known. When I mentioned a twenty-first century spin, this is what I was referencing: these days, fans are forced to choose between cookie-cutter sports bars that offer the same fried garbage (chicken tenders, fries, etc). Finally, an establishment has recognized that there are some fans out there who want to enjoy a nice 14 ounce ribeye while politely watching the game, who don't want a bunch of loud boozehounds screaming every time the Ravens get a first down, and who want to break out of the restaurant doldrums. As for my dining experience at Grille620 the other night, five stars says it all. My friend and I arrived shortly before 6 o'clock. This turned out to be perfect timing because the dinner rush hit about an hour later. We decided to sit in the bar area to more easily sample the craft beer on tap. I could not believe the selection: more than fifteen craft beers on tap, with an even wider selection bottled. The bartender (who, I might add, is easy on the eyes) was more than happy to let us sample several of the beers before ultimately ordering. (I had the Dogfish Head Chateau Jiahu, and my friend had the Malheur 12 Quadrupel; I recommend both, though the Chateau Jiahu is quite sweet). For an appetizer, we decided to order the Bruschetta. It came out promptly, less than four minutes after ordering, and was perfectly done. The white bean mousse was so good that I actually finished it off with some of the garnish after the crostini was gone. After the Bruschetta, I knew my entree would be out of this world too. I ordered the Seafood and Pasta, which combines a black noodle, mussels, shrimp, clams, and calamari. The bartender told me that it was his favorite, and I can see why. The seafood-pasta combination is unlike any other pasta (namely italian) dish that I have ever eaten. Coming from someone who is not too fond of seafood, this is a MUST try. My friend ordered the Gnocchi and Lobster, which was also mouthwatering. The bottom-line (or TL/DR for those of you with ADHD): Grille620 provides a classy dining option at a more than reasonable price and is an excellent choice for those who want good surf and or turf but don't want to drive to Baltimore or Annapolis.

I really really enjoyed our experience here. We came for brunch on Sunday for my dad's birthday. We were seated right away and there was no waiting. He ordered the old bay omelette. I had the shrimp and grits. The grits were perfectly done (creamy!!!) topped with an egg and cheese. The shrimp were also perfectly done. Topped with bacon (my request, it usually comes topped with pork belly), with a side of fruit and potatoes. The waiter remembered it was my dad's birthday so they brought him a complimentary dessert of his choosing the chocolate chip bread pudding!! It was to die for! Great atmosphere. The only downside I found was there were no booths only tables. I suppose you can fit more people in the space and it's meant to be a cafe but I had hoped for more coziness since it's so cold outside! Well definitely be back!! I can't wait to try the orange crush and the lobster gnocchi.

We are new to the area, so this was our first visit to Grille 620. It was chosen based on the proximity to our home and the quantity of good yelp reviews. I had the bison burger and my wife had the filet Mignon. We shared a side of mac'n cheese, and for dessert, the bread pudding with french-press coffee. All in all the food was very good. What set our visit apart was our waiter Michael, who was the consummate professional. His service was friendly and timely, and his knowledge of the menu was spot on. It was a bit curious that the table area was mostly empty, until we discovered the outdoor seating area as we exited, which was busy on this warm evening. I suspect our first visit will not be our last.

We went on a recent Saturday evening and sat in the bar. It's a nice bar, quiet and cool with TVs that are not loud or intrusive. I ordered a classic martini, being clear to tell the waitress that I did not want a "dirty" martini. My wife ordered a Cosmo. The waitress brought me a --you guessed it-- dirty martini, which I promptly sent back. When all was corrected, we had two of the smallest (and at $9.50 each) martinis we have ever had. They must have been 2.5 ounces each. My wife said her Cosmo was the worst she ever had. Plus, and this baffles us both, they served them in those squat, little glasses with no stems. A martini is an iconic drink that requires an iconic glass. Grille 620 needs to go to Shannon's Saloon and take notes on how to prepare and present a martini. Now the food. We had calamari for an app and it was OK. Not bad, but not memorable. My wife didn't like the sauce they served with it--too runny and thin. We split an order of fish tacos (2 tacos with a generous portion of haddock on each--pretty tasty!), and an order of beef sliders (4 of them per order). The sliders were very good, being served with thin onion rings. All in all, we would return, but we would stick to beer and wine for the drinks. Other than the botched martini, the service was good.
(3)Michael A.
The yum yum burger was very bland I guess I was expecting too much flavor or something it just tasted like pork between two buns. Mac and cheese on point tho. And fries were very good. Edit: and never trying a bison burger again.

Can I just say thank God for Living Social because we would have never tried this place otherwise. We came for brunch on a Sunday and were immediately greeted by a very friendly hostess who let us choose our table in the bar area so we could watch highlights of last night's football game. Our server/bartender, Tony, came right over to introduce himself and poured our waters, very friendly & personable and attentive. I had the lobster roll with the Old Bay vinaigrette and wow, I loved the chef's rendition of this classic. The buttery, perfectly toasted split roll was overflowing with big chunks of lobster meat that was so tender it practically melted in my mouth and the diced tomato and red onion perfectly completed the salad. We also loved the shoe string fries that were crispy and salted just right. My husband loved his Farmer's omelet, so much so that before I could even ask for a bite it was gone. He also really loved the whole grain bread and hash browns served with it. The only thing he didn't care for was the cantaloupe & honeydew in the fruit cup that accompanied the meal but considering the fact it's January and those fruits are out of season I thought that was to be expected. I also want to point out how great an ambassador Tony is, he made sure to let us know that Grille 620 is one of the top 3 steak houses in MD, encouraging us to come back for dinner next time. We'll definitely be taking him up on his advice but we'll be sure to bring along my daughter the foodie.

I made a reservation two weeks ago to go to Grille 620 on Saturday July 4. I made the reservation on line. I even called the restaurant to confirm. Today, Wednesday, July 1 Grille 620 called to say they were closed on July 4. I just spent the last 30 minutes calling around for another reservation. So far, every place that is open is full. Really, really annoying.
(1)Angela S.
Came in for Sunday Brunch on a Living Social deal, leaving stuffed and HAPPY! The 620 Omelette is to die for and the chocolate chip bread pudding...slap your grandma good. Don't even get me started on the Jalapeño Bloody Mary. We'll be back.
(5)Mistery M.
I go here to eat food. Surprise surprise. I like the oysters. Super fresh. you're in the middle of some land locked destitute crapass suburbia land and pow here's a great foodplace for your face. the sides are good-- mushrooms, brussel sprouts (grade C--- could be crispier. less soggy), and the booze selection is nice. Anyways 4 stars for fresh oysters in the middle of nowhere. Good job guys. I like it.
(4)Victoria M.
Wow, the yum yum burger comes with a fried egg was so delicious, and it comes with Parmesan garlic fries. So good but it's a bit more expensive....
(4)Kem W.
A pretty good restaurant for HoCo. I had a sea bass special that was served hot and done perfectly. The crab cakes looked good, too.
(4)Ryan S.
Came here last weekend for a double date night with close friends, to celebrate their anniversary. We shared the Calamari, which was excellent, and two types of oysters, which were also very good. We also shared the beef carpaccio, which was out of this world. My wife had a fish special which she thought was slightly overcooked, and although I am not much of a fish fan, but I still thought it was cooked properly and tasty. She prefers her fish seared or rare, which is not typically how (non-sushi) restaurants will serve it. I had the Maryland Crab Soup which was pretty standard recipe, and tasty. I also had a soft-shell crab special, which was delicious. We all ordered different desserts, and were very pleased to share each of them. We had S'mores, Creme Brulee, Bread Pudding, and Cheesecake, and they were each very tasty. The atmosphere is very nice, dimly lit, and with some music in the background. There is a nice bar area with several TVs showing whatever sports are in season. We were dressed nicely, for the event we were celebrating, but there were people there in T-shirts and other casual clothing.
(5)Steve K.
We've been to Grill 620 a few times over the last several months. The wait staff in the bar area are very attentive and happy hour specials quite good. The food is somewhat variable. The Grill 620 burger is excellent as are the oysters. The philly cheese steak was cooked fine, but was a very tough flank steak. Service in the main restaurant area is slow.
(3)Lila B.
The food was nothing great. I ordered a black bean veggie burger and it was really bland. Probably the thickest burger I've had too so I left a lot of it behind. Two of my guests ordered the Chicken sandwich which barely had any chicken on it. One guest had the crab dip and she thought it was spicy (kind of a complainer though so take that one with a grain of salt). There was only one waiter for the whole restaurant, no hostess either and no busboy. The ambience was nice hence 2 stars. We won't be going back.
(2)Jeff T.
My office is in the area and I have been to Grille 620 many times for lunch and recently, dinner for the first time. When they first opened, there were a few items on the lunch menu that I thought needed improvement. I stated this on the feedback card they give you and was totally impressed to see that some improvements were made per my suggestions. To see an owner take constructive criticism and actually improve his/her business based on customer feedback is great to see. The owners and managers clearly care about offering a top end product. The food at Grille 620 is very good. For lunch, get the burger with shoestring fries or the chicken with waffles. Both are awesome and the fries may be the best you ever had. For dinner, get any seafood or steak grilled and PLEASE get the carpaccio appetizer. It is fantastic and may be the best thing I've ever eaten....seriously, it's that good. When this place first opened, I would have given them 2 stars. Now, I would give them maybe 4.5 but since that is not an option, we round up to 5 because of the improvements and passion of the owner. It may be a little pricey but for a great, local place....you just don't mind. The kitchen has really gotten things together for the better and now does a great job.
(5)F Michele H.
INCREDIBLE This is my second time at Grille 620 and it was wonderful. The service was great and our waiter Brad was EXCEPTIONAL. He explained the history of the restaurant, nicely laid out their accomplishments and explained the specials on the menu without being overbearing or long winded. The lump crab cocktail is to die for. One friend had the T-bone special and another friend and myself had the yum yum burger. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Dessert was amazing. Chocolate chip bread pudding with limoncello and the brownie sundae. Would go back again, again and AGAIN!
(5)Susan G.
Love this place! Visit at least once per month. Grilled octopus, perfectly cooked and seasoned one of my favorite dishes. Crab appetizer so fresh, corn coulis is amazing pairing. Bouillabase is very filling, fresh, and flavorful even though I know restaurants normally do this dish to get rid of seafood but 620 has never let me down on quality!! New York Strip is awesome, seems to be very high quality product. Only downfall is we are done trying dessert here, havent found anything good.
(5)BC T.
My family ate dinner here. All the steaks were cooked wrong and it had a lot of fat to it. My son's chicken tenders were raw on the inside. None of the orders came out right. Very disappointing first experience here.
(1)D C.
I didnt get to eat here so i cant account for the food but i found in calling this place a couple of times that theres a certain attitude you get on the phone that isnt warm and welcoming. Just want them to know to be aware of their demeanor with potential customers. It sets the tone for your dinner. This is not the first time that hostess staff in this area were not as friendly as what I would expect. I was just in Nashville and I had some of the most friendly service I have ever had. I would like to try this place if/when I come back to the area though.
(2)Eun L.
I recently went to Grille 620 and had a wonderful dinner. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars if not for the dessert. The oysters were fresh but the crab napolean was phenomenal. It was the best dish of the night. I highly recommend it. For my entree, I had the seafood boulabaisse. It was delicious also. I was looking forward to having the squid ink pasta dish, but it is no longer on the menu. The drinks are great. I had the pear martini. Again, highly recommended. The only disappointment was the dessert. I had the s'mores and it was just ok. I was a little disappointed in the choices but I've heard from others that the bread pudding is good. I will try this the next time I go, which I'm hoping is very soon.
(4)Jeana C.
A nice restaurant with a great Service. Brunch meals were pretty good. Had crab cake benedict and it was ok. My husband had an omelet (620) and that was delicious. This place has a great potential!
(4)Butter C.
Just had brunch here. Was really good! Brandon was a great waiter, engaging and helpful. Went with 6 people and we all got different entrees. All so good. Great atmosphere too.
(4)Michael T.
Went here on May 7th, for a birthday dinner, we ordered apps for the table, fried calamari, mussels, and crab artichoke dip. All were very good, the crab dip could have been hotter but it was still very good. Main entrees were ordered, the people who got seafood entrees (bronzini and scallops) said their diners were great. However the steak...I don't think they know how to cook a cut of steak here, my wife ordered a filet that came out well done, when she asked for medium, and I ordered a rib eye medium rare that also came out well done. They took the steaks back to fire new ones, but rather then taking the time to cook them properly they cooked them over a higher heat to speed up us getting our food and burnt the outside of both while the inside was not brought up to temperature. They also did not allow the steaks time to rest after cooking. The second filet that came out was inedible its a shame that they were both wasted. We had really high hopes for this place as we thought we found a steak house close to where we live. There price point is comparable to Ruth's Chris but not nearly on the same level from our experience. 8 oz filet at grille 620 $35 8 oz filet at Ruth's $37
(3)Brigid R.
So...not really impressed. While my scallop dish was fantastic, my husband's crab cake was mediocre and fishy. They were kind enough to take off part of the price, but this isnt a place I will be rushing back to. Dishes are small and prices are high, especially compared to Faccis and Xitomate in same shopping center.
(2)Kristen F.
We always have a great time at Grille 620 and last night was no different. We gathered with friends to celebrate the holidays and everything from the food to the service was exceptional. Thank you Fabio for taking care of us and delivering some of the best food around. Tony, you always make us feel welcome and Mike, thanks for the great service and putting up with all of us! We have sent many your way and will continue to do so. Did I mention the limoncello??? Bravo!!!
(5)Sam D.
The food is mediocre at best. The only good thing was the string French fries. My friends and I finished every one. Otherwise my lobster roll was good but nothing to write home about and a bit small. The stuffed roast chicken was boring. The crab cake sandwich had no flavor. The fried chicken and waffles was dry and they didn't have any maple syrup. The waiter was ok. The creme brulee for dessert was good. Decor was ok but restaurant was empty on a Sunday afternoon. Too expensive for the taste of food. Won't be returning.
(2)Neha O.
Excellent! Wine was great, food was delish, service was fantastic! Our waiter Brad was awesome. Very knowledgeable about the wine and food. He made great recommendations. Desert was yummy! We truly enjoyed our experience.
(5)Hilary M.
My husband and I came here for brunch because we had a Living Social deal. We were one of the first people to arrive (including staff or so it seemed). The service and food was excellent! I had the veggie omelet. All the brunch items come with a side of fruit, potatoes, and multigrain bread. My husband loved his food as well. The GPS had a hard time finding the restaurant because it's in the new Turf Valley Town Center.
(5)Kim A.
Family and I went here for my birthday dinner and loved it. The shopping center is kind of tucked away. I only knew about Grill 620 because I have been to lunches at Facci which is next door. The restaurant is in a cute area that has a public outdoor fireplace and water feature with twinkle lit trees. Grill 620 itself has a great ambiance. The interior is really chic but has a bar area if you just want to grab happy hour drink and oyster shooter deals. You wouldn't feel out of place in jeans and T or in more formal wear, it is very casual while still being stylish. Cathy was our waitress and she was very helpful and welcoming. You could tell wait staff spent a lot of time with the chef Fabio so they could explain the different dishes, how they were made and what all goes into it. The run down really made you want to order everything! We had a bottle of wine and shared oysters since they were hyped up and in season. The oysters were average size and tasted great. As a carb whore I thought the fresh table bread was amazing! I will have to go back because I love a good Ceviche dish but because I ordered the Ahi tuna as a main dish I passed on the ceviche. The tuna was cooked perfect and had a delicious seaweed salad that I wish they served more of. The other dinner mates ordered a ribeye steak and the homemade gnocchi and lobster. The steak was well seasoned and cooked as ordered so you can't go wrong with that. The gnocchi was also very good that would have been made perfect if it had a few more mushrooms thrown in. The price point is a little high and portions smaller than what most American's are use to shoveling in but the food is very good and you won't leave hungry or broke. I can't wait to find another reason to celebrate so I can go back!

We visited Grille620 a few months ago when it first opened and it seemed they were still working out a few kinks. We decided to wait a few months and give them another shot. I'm glad we did. The decor has improved significantly. We coincidently had the same server both times and he was the perfect combo of attentive, friendly, and informative. They have a solid selection of wine, craft beer, and specialty cocktails, all of which we have tried so far have been delicious. My husband's steak was cooked just right and he finished his side of brussel sprouts, and since he's not generally a fan of brussel sprouts, I figured they must have been pretty tasty. My tomato bisque was delicious as was my raw bar sampler. The oysters were fresh and tasty as was the crab and shrimp. No complaints here....we will add Grille620 to our rotation.
(4)Farina S.
The best restaurant in this area by far! You can go for happy hour and get beers and awesome burgers or you can go for a nice dinner out and get amazing seafood and steaks!
(5)Deanna G.
Great food and service! Scallops and tuna were delicious. The raw bar plate was a bit pricey for what you were given ($30 for 6 oysters 2 shrimp some lump crab meat and two packs of crackers) it all tasted good and our server Michael was awesome. We tried the panna cotta and brownie sundae(the sundae was huge) for dessert both were delicious as well!
(4)Paul S.
Our reservation was accepted without incident on a recent Saturday evening. The restaurant itself is smallish and the decor is stark and neutral. There was a distinct cold draft blowing in from the front entrance that made our stay uncomfortable. We started with the spinach and pear salad and the roasted beet salad-both were just okay though the beet salad didn't seem to have the advertised balsamic dressing (instead there appeared to be some sort of buttermilk dressing). Our entrees consisted of Bouillabaisse (light on seafood save for the mussels in a bland tomato broth) and the Mediterranean Bronzini (again bland and, unfortunately, cold). Definitely not on our "A" list of local eateries and I doubt that we will return.

We held our son and daughter-in-law's wedding reherasal dinner at Grille 620 on Friday, 3/20/15, with 33 people attending. Everyone present raved about the service, quality of food (people couldn't stop eating mac and cheese side dish), atmosphere, and friendliness of the staff. Jessy, our restaurant coordinator, was so nice to work with and prompt to responding to all our questions and needs. Ali, the owner, who is very professional and freindly stopped by our table to say hello and check on us. We are from the Silver Spring, MD area and had never been to the Ellicott City area for dining. When researching places to host a rehearsal dinner near the Ellicott City area my daughter-in-law got numerous positive recommendations for Grille 620 from the Carroll County Hospital staff where she works. They were right. It was an excellent choice.

Upscale atmosphere but the staff makes you feel right at home, they were attentive without being pushy. Little parking in the front but plenty in the rear. My wife and I shared a la carte entrees, scallops and crab cakes, which were both splendid, tasty but not overpowered with seasonings. The sides are enough for two and served "family style with class". The crab and artichoke dip appetizer was better than I am use to and more than enough for both of us as well. The chocolate chip bread pudding we picked for dessert was gooood! After dinner we sat in the bar and watched the Orioles on their many tvs, The bar atmosphere, service and drinks were outstanding. Good food, good time. We will be going back!

I have eaten at and gotten carry out from the grille enough times that they deserve a positive review. The service is always outstanding. The food is a little pricey, but for the area and the quality of the food I would say it's worth it. They're drinks are really good. I LOVE their fries! They are speedy and the atmosphere is great. I will definitely be back!

I haven't written a review in years but felt compelled to after reading the negative reviews for this restaurant. First off, if you're going to give criticism, make it constructive. Some of the 'complaints' are unbelievable - Dave Matthews was playing in the background?! Seriously?! Who cares! This is an overdue and welcomed addition to Ellicott City. Now we just need a place like this to open on Main Street! Having lived in downtown Baltimore, we have seriously missed the dining there since moving out here and now we finally have somewhere to go for a quality meal in EC. My husband and I went for a late lunch a few Saturday's ago and were extremely happy with our experience. We liked the décor - the reclaimed wood was beautiful and overall the space is well done. It is somewhat industrial feeling but I would still consider it a comfortable, and not cold, space. There isn't a ton of separation from the bar and dining area, so yes, you could possibly see the TVs (like all bars have... again, who cares?!). I would call it upscale, not 'fine' dining. Fine dining to me is white tablecloth and getting dressed up (like The King's Contrivance or Tersiguel's). We sat on the bar side and were served by the bartender, and the service was excellent. I had the chicken & waffles (huge portion and amazing - loved the twist with the spicy sauce instead of plain maple syrup) and my husband had a burger, the one with pork belly and fried egg (he also loved his). For the portion size we didn't feel the items were overpriced. They have a great beer list and we enjoyed trying new craft beers. We both had trouble deciding what to order, so had no issues with the menu. We are looking forward to trying out some of their other options... probably tomorrow night!

The food here is good - a more Mediterranean bent on a traditional steakhouse, but the service is consistently lacking. I've been here three times now - once for a weekday lunch, once for a weekend dinner and then this past Thursday and everytime I've been disappointed and annoyed! For both of the dinners it has taken 2 hours to complete the meal - there seems to be a large gap in time between apps and entrees despite the fact that the restaurant hasn't been crowded. This past time we ordered oysters as an app, but when our entree arrived and we asked where they were, our server admitted he had forgotten to put them in. He returned later to say that the types of oysters he had told us he had was not in fact what they had. Later we ordered dessert and TWICE the wrong dessert was sent to our table. I just find that each time I leave here I'm worn out from the time dinner takes and the effort to manage the staff. We're done with this place - it just isn't worth it!

We have been here a bunch of times and it is always great. Love the beet salad! It is nice to have a decent steak house/semi fine dining her in Howard county. They also have a great wine list.
(4)Jon D.
Great evening at Grille 620 the service and food was excellent I had the blue point oysters to start my wife had the seafood salad, for dinner I had the Ny strip and the garlic fries and my wife had the bouillabaisse and grilled asparagus. We also had the bread pudding to die for and the cream lemon cello freshly made in house.great place.we will tell all our friends about the fresh and simple Grille 620.
(5)Mark H.
What a wonderful experience. My rare filet mignon was like butter. The calamari was amazing and we finished it off with the panna cotta.

Went here for brunch for the first time. Although we (my husband and I) are not big drinkers we were surprised to see that the bottomless mimosas were priced at $12. I mixed grapefruit with orange juice and he had their French pressed coffee. We ordered the shrimp and grits which was very tasty. The 4 large shrimp were cooked perfectly! The egg on the top was magic. I had the seafood omelette 620 and it was very tasty paired with hash brown potatoes, wheat toast and fruit. We couldn't finish our plates because it was so much food! Best of all, our server mario was such a delight and so funny! I think my husband just found a new friend :)

Stopped in as we were passing through town. We were very impressed. The menu was very diverse and offered many great dishes. The wedge salad, ceviche, shrimp, and tortellini were very good. The server was also well educated on the menu, provided great recommendations, and great customer service. The flourless chocolate cake was delicious!

My new favorite restaurant. Great atmosphere, good menu choices and excellent wine list. The seafood was fresh and delicious.

This is not fine dining, unless a normal date night for you is Going to McDonald's. For starters, the atmosphere is cold and unwelcoming. They seem to be going for the trendy reclaimed wood thing, but it is anything but cozy. Ceilings are too high, and from them lights hang not low enough. The "artwork" is silly stock black and white images hung to high. The menu is mostly boring. Fine for steak eaters, but not much for the rest of us. Service was confusing and very rushed. Before we could order our wine we received appetizers. Then it took another half hour, and flagging down the waitress to get our drinks. Overall, the service was very rushed. We just wanted a relaxing night out. My husband had the fish special, it was ok but bland. I had the lobster gnocchi - they were not made by anyone 1/10000 Italian. They were very small and mostly tasted of pasty flour. And every nibble of lobster was rubbery and over cooked. Had the meal cost one quarter of the cost it may have been acceptable. To top it all off- when we walked out Dave Matthews was playing! So much for a decent restaurant in the 'burbs.

My husband cringes when I want to try a new restaurant because he knows I am a very picky eater with a list of things I don't like (dried parsley on any food sends me into orbit) and I can ever seem to order the food exactly the way it is made. He, on the other hand, is the complete opposite and orders as is and is usually quite satisfied. So it was with trepidation that we went to this new restaurant even though I had heard good things from several friends. While overall the place is relatively small, it has a nice bar with three large TV screens and two/four top tables placed behind the bar. While we are avid football fans, the volume was turned down so we could watch the game and still enjoy the conversation with others. The first time we went we just went to the bar for a drink. When my husband asked for a Southern Comfort Manhattan and was told there was no Southern Comfort we weren't too sure about coming back. But the manager came over before we left and told us he would have it for our next visit. And true to his word, it was there! For our second go round we ate on the restaurant side, I wasn't crazy about the two top tables placed right next to each other but with limited space there is not much you can do creatively with this kind of layout. We ended up sitting at a four top in the middle of the room and it worked out quite well. Mitch was our waiter and I wasn't sure if he was up to the task with handling my order...but to my delight he got everything exactly right! I ordered the Classic Wedge Salad but added my own touch with cranberries and Parmesan cheese and balsamic on the side...it was fresh, tasty and just the right size. My husband ordered the corn and crab soup which he said was filled with lumps of crab and had an excellent flavor. We also split a shrimp cocktail...four plump and tasty shrimp with a very good cocktail sauce which I later used as a dipping sauce for some of the wonderful artisan bread....a great combination if you've never tried it (and less calories than butter). For dinner I ordered the Honey Miso Salmon but replaced the sautéed spinach with their Jicama Old Bay Slaw...both were heavenly. The salmon was pink and flakey and the sweet sauce was a perfect companion to the fish. My husband ordered the filet mignon with Cabernet sauce and it was cooked exactly the way he wanted (medium plus) but preferred the flavor of the steak itself and said it really didn't need the sauce (although he liked it). While we were full and quite satisfied, I just had to try the dessert menu for a sampling. I ordered the cheesecake but asked for for the drunken berries on top from another dessert...the creamy richness of the cake with the succulent bing cherries and strawberries is now my new favorite dessert! So from a very pick eater and her not so difficult husband, kudos to Grille620's chef (your dishes are creative, flavorful and delicious, and I appreciate your flexibility with my strange food requests), manager Gaby who runs a great establishment and understands the restaurant business and what customer satisfaction means, and Mitch our waiter who was the best - friendly, patient and always right! By the time we left there was a wait to get a table and some patrons were a little surprised and maybe slightly irritated...but it is worth the wait! It is a great addition to Howard County dining experience.

We went to Grille 620 for our wedding anniversary. We had to bring our daughter because the sitter had to cancel. The staff was wonderful and attentive and the food was very good. We especially enjoyed the Oysters Rockefeller app They put a candle in to the dessert. We will go back again for sure.

Up Scale - Fine dinning. Nice and cozy place - perfect for date night or night out with friends. Not to far from Ellicott city/Columbia area. Perfect distance from Rt 108 for inexpensive cab ride, incase you plan to enjoy a few glasses of wine or cocktails Located in a new development, location of restaurant is nice, clean, unique and fresh, Plenty of free parking. Great beer/wine/drink list. Amazing atmosphere (visual and vibe), great food, friendly staff and great service. Good choice of dishes offered with some unique and some classic choices. Great take on seafood/steak house fare. Few Vegetarian dishes offered on the menu to accommodate non-meat eaters to come and enjoy as well. Finally - the owner/management here truly show passion for their restaurant. They made to sure to connect with all of their guests at some point in the night. Added to my list of fab restaurants in the area. Will be cabbing it with friends next time. .

I actually have not dined at this restaurant yet, so I cannot personally comment on the food, but I wanted to review the wonderful hospitality that was bestowed on my family this evening. They had a reservation for a birthday dinner, which I had called earlier in the week to leave a credit card to pay for their check. Not only was my request handled eloquently and flawlessly, but they could not stop with their wonderful reviews of the food and the service. It means a ton to me that even on a special night when I could not be there to celebrate with my family, I was able to treat them, and they truly enjoyed the experience as a whole.

I have been to Grille 620 twice now. Once to take my parents out for my fathers birthday, and the other to the bar for happy hour. Both visits were more than satisfying. The dinner with my parents was our first time. The appetizers were really good, we ordered a raw bar sampler and the oysters were fantastic, crab meat was good, and the shrimp were big and tasty. The crab cake dinners and steak hit the spot and everything was eaten fully and thoroughly enjoyed. I had a filet and it was a superb cut of meat, very moist and tender, and cooked to temp perfectly. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better... desert happened. We ordered three deserts and all of them were amazing. The second visit as i said was with friends at the bar for happy hour. We really enjoyed the happy hour specials/menu. We ordered a bunch of really good appetizers and tried a bunch of cool microbrews and good beers. We had a lot of fun and plan on returning soon. The restaurant is a beautiful place, well designed and comfortable. I really like the inside of this place and the bathrooms were really really clean and nice too (important for my reviews). Both times our service was very prompt and our server (Brandon I think) was both polite and knowledgeable about everything on the menu and helped us navigate wines, beers, and dishes with ease. The second time at the bar, we were always taken care of and we never waited on beers. Both times we were checked on just the right amount of times. Very nice restaurant and I look forward to returning soon. Good job!

I went back for happy hour. I felt the appetizers were better than the main meals we had last time. This time we ordered the crispy calamari, crab Napoleon, and spinach and crab dip. They were all very good! Since I knew about the wine flights that's what we ordered to drink. I felt it was a very fair price for the flights ($10.00 on Monday, regularly $12.00). The one thing I was still disappointed with was the bar tender and waitress's lack of knowledge for the specials. When I asked the bar tender what the specials were he told me the drink specials and the $8.00 half dozen oysters. He did not mention the $2.00 off wine flights. When I asked him about food specials he said "we don't have any." Then I mentioned I saw on their website there were appetizer specials. He then remembered there were $8.00 appetizers. Our waitress was very nice however she didn't offer any of the specials either. I would go back for the happy hour but would not expect great service and I would know the specials for that day before going. I have only sat in the bar area. The dining area may have better service. Also, I think it was one of the owners came by twice to check on us, which was very nice.

Cool atmosphere, delicious food from appetizers to entrées to desserts. Knowledgeable waitstaff that had good suggestions on what to eat. I got the ribeye burger which you will not regret, everything was delicious & Don't forget to get the brownie sundae :)

I've been here twice now. Both times I sat in the bar. They have a great wine list and good microbrews. The food has been very good, and the service was great. The atmosphere really makes this place special.

Decided to try Grille 620 on a Sat with no reservations as a party of 4 and there was a significant wait for a table as the place is not that large. As spaced opened up at the bar this is where we decided to sit and order some fare. We sampled the green jalapeno wings which were not super flavorful but had heat and some of the drummies were undercooked. Also sampled the steak strips which were perfectly cooked and had an amazing teriyaki flavor that was not overwhelming. The Malpeque raw oysters were fresh. The crab and artichoke dip was a perfect blend and not too creamy. The house salad had crisp greens, nuts and fruits and the dressing which I believe was a pomegranate vinaigrette was a perfect accompaniment to the medley. The service was absolutely top notch and the staff very friendly. Grille620 offered a nice beer selection that would not be considered common; I recommend the Pepe Nero Belgian Ale. You also must try their rich lemon and smooth lemoncello. Glad to have this place in the area.

On Saturday, some friends wanted to hook up at this new place in Marriottsville. Although super crowded, was able to get a table. Appetizers were very good and waitress was spot-on. Nice atmosphere and was able to catch some football as. well as chat. Manager was active; walking around checking to make sure everyone was happy. Other new rrstaurants nearby too, my friends made a good choice with Grille620.

Really nice addition to the area. Saves us from having to trek all the way to Columbia. Cool interior, strong beer/wine/drink list, and really good food. Small, concise and well executed menu. Will be one of our regular spots for sure!

The food was excellent! This was our second time here and it was once again a wonderful experience. Came for our anniversary dinner, Filet was mouthwatering! Husband had ribeye and that was also delicious! Great atmosphere and great service! Would definetly recommend this place!

Great service and fresh seafood, just what this area needed. Started with raw oysters and the grilled octopus salad. Both fresh and full of flavor. Loved the grown up s'mores.

Great experience dining tonight. We initially were only going to dine here if we could sit in the bar because they offer some more reasonably priced menu options in the bar that's in addition to their normal restaurant menu. We had a party of three, had no problems finding a table in the bar area and were greeted by friendly staff and management. We split the 6 for $16 sliders with a side if French fries which were delicious and fresh tasting. I also had the the house salad which was quite tasty, much larger than anticipated, pleasantly surprised to say the least. For dessert I shared the vanilla bean cream brûlée which was some of the best I've ever had! Our sever Tori was fantastic, bubbly, knowledgable and attentive. Very comfortable and laid back environment for quiet family dinner or romantic evening out.

We were excited to try Grille 620 after reading all the glowing reviews, but overall, we were pretty disappointed. When we first walked in the restaurant we saw the bar area with three TV screens showing football games. Is this a fine-dining establishment or a sports bar? The two don't go together in my opinion. The dining room side is way too crowded with tables so close together it is hard to walk between them. The food has its good and bad points - I started with the Maryland crab soup which had good pieces of crab but was cold. Hubby and I both had the crab cakes which were also cold and pretty tasteless. On the positive side, my daughter, the big steak-eater, loved her NY strip and my son liked his sea bass. Service was lacking for a restaurant with these prices - while first the waiter described the menu in detail, he then basically disappeared. He didn't bring the bread we asked for so we had to ask another server to get it. He didn't check on us until we were almost done eating or else I would have been able to send back the cold crab cakes. He did comp us one entree, which was appreciated, but given the overall atmosphere, food and service, I don't really see a compelling reason to return.

Steven was an awesome waiter. Genuine, helpful & prompt. Atmosphere is relaxed. Parking is easy. Most importantly, the food was fantastic. Yum yum burger was indeed yummy. The regular burger was also really great with nice fat slices of bacon. The fries..... Oh the fries. They are DIVINE. Honestly, how do so many ppl screw up fries? These guys treat them right with garlic & fresh clean oil. The ceviche was also sublime. The lemonade was fresh & tart. I loved everything about this place. We'll be back. Our new favorite hangout in Ellicott.

We went to this restaurant 3 weeks ago. Food was good. My husband was pleased with his food and I liked my fish it was cooked nice! But tonight we went back again and what a disaster my fish was literally swimming in grease and my husband steak sandwich was bombarded with salt. Both dishes were so disgusting! I went straight from work for dinner so I was starving and ate the food. I felt horrible all evening got very scared because I had a race on Saturday and was freaking out. I called the restaurant and talk to the manager Tony he put the chef on the phone. I told him that I am feeling very sick his answer to me " what can I do for you" Really.... Not everyone wants money back or free dinner Mr.Chef!! At that point I made up my mind Never Ever going back to this place. Manager was nice he was concerned about my race. I did called Saturday and talk to another bone head manager and told him I am okay I ran my race. His answer thanks! So there is my story and I am sticking to it! You might stand for your food but you definitely have 0 compassion towards your customers who got sick eating your perfect food!

Went here for dinner on a recent Friday night. Nice atmosphere in dining room. Bar area looked lively with several large screen TVs. Good noise dampening so we were able to converse in our normal voices. We enjoyed our food - oysters (3 different types), grilled octopus, beets salad, pan-seared rock fish (a special), corn risotto with lobster tail (another special), creme brulee, and panna cotta. Including a bottle of moderately-priced wine and coffee, dinner was about $110 per person before tip. Service as provided by Bridget was professional and helpful. Young lady who called to confirm our reservation and who greeted us, Ymani (sp?) was more friendly and warm. Does anyone else think that the manager-type young guy walking around looks like a cross between Eli Manning and David Schwimmer?

I came here for brunch with a group and I had somewhat high expectations for this place. The restaurant is in a nice area and the interior of Grille 620 is really nice too - upscale yet unpretentious vibe. The brunch menu sounded really appetizing, which is why we came here instead of Stanford Grill (which I've been to 20 times). The brunch/lunch menu has a lot of options and also have a $12 unlimited mimosa or champagne option. After being told they were out of the shortrib hash, some of us had to settle on secondary options. I ended up ordering the chicken and waffles which was just not good. The chicken was coated in a tempura style batter, instead of a more traditional flour/egg dredge. The waffle by itself was good, but it had a cabbage type slaw in between the chicken and the waffle, which just does not go with a sweet waffle. The whole dish was then topped with almost like a siracha creamy sauce, which was just overkill for both the savory chicken and then the sweet waffle. Simplicity would have made this dish more successful, classic breaded crispy fried chicken on a nice fluffy waffle with a slight syrup or spicy honey drizzle. Other people in my party got the 620 omelet, which featured crab, lobster, shrimp, vegetables and potatoes and fruit on the side. The omelet was good, but a bit overcooked and nothing to really write home about. The potatoes were actually really good though. Other diners in my party who ordered benedicts seemed to enjoy their dish a lot more, so I guess I will note that for next time. Service was consistently good throughout brunch, and our waiter kept everyone's cup full who opted for the bottomless mimosa option. I'd be willing to give this place another try, especially for dinner, but I think their brunch dishes need a bit of work.

I am so disappointed in this place. So last night (Sunday) I walked in at 8 pm. The hours indicate they close at 9 pm. This was my second time here. and yet again no one at the hostess stand. I timed it. It took over 8 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge me. That's so not cool! The bus boy felt bad for me as he noticed! He sat me in the bar area. Time kept going by and no one approached me! Finally around 8:30 the bartender comes over and tells me the kitchen is closed. What? I was a little more than frustrated. I asked if I could order a drink and he said yes and proceeded to ask who sat me down. I really felt invisible here. He did give me my drink for free but still. This is not how you operate a business. I worked at a Country Club in college and I was a hostess. I never moved from that stand more than a few seconds. They have a real issue with the entrance and first impression. Also I clearly arrived an hour before closing, and should have been served. I am not going back.

I've visited grille 620 3-4 times as of this posting and will continue to return. Chef Fabio Mura has created an excellent menu with a heavy seafood focus. I've ordered a selection of raw oysters at almost every trip and have been very happy with the quality and selection, there are few places I trust with a raw bar in the area and 620 has maintained an excellent variety of oysters to sample as an appetizer. The only appetizer I have ordered was the fried calamari with fried banana peppers and I must admit it is an excellent pairing. However, my main dishes have been phenomenal. The first entree I ordered here was the lobster gnocchi. The dish is perfectly balanced though almost a bit heavy due to the cream sauce but a great indulgence and the quantity of lobster in the dish was more than expected which is always a positive. The next time I ordered the Mediterranean Bronzini, which at the time was a special, and the fish was beautifully prepared with perfectly complimenting sides. My girlfriend ordered the scallops and they were perfectly seared and seasoned. The last time I went I ordered the swordfish steak which was of amazing quality and cooked to perfection. My girlfriend and a friend that came with ordered the ribeye and they were cooked to order, not overdone like some locations, and we're quite tasty. The other dish ordered was the miso salmon which I did not get to taste but looked so good I may order it the next time I visit. Aside from the food, I have had very good luck with the staff. The servers are excellent in recommending wines to drink based on your dishes and have been very attentive. I would like to especially thank Tony and Michael for their courtesy and professionalism. This place is a rarity for the area. There is very little around with seafood near the quality of this location, and I will continue to tell friends and family of this place so they can try it out. I think this is the perfect location for an upscale dinner whether it be for fun or for an occasion. Be warned it is a very open layout so it can get a little loud at times, but the food is well worth it. As a side note. Order the limoncello either as an apertif or with desert. I usually am not a fan, but this homemade recipe is amazing and I have bought several pints to bring home and for gifts. It is the perfect balance of sweet and strong without being cloyingly sweet. The creme brûlée is also very well crafted and has a nice crispness to the sugar coating which is incredibly hard to find. The other good part of 620 is the bar. They have excellent taste in liquor and wine. Titos is the rail vodka here which is unheard of for $5 well drinks during happy hour. The aged Manhattan is also very well done. The craft beers rotate regularly for a fair price and the wine selection has a wide selection of styles and prices to find the perfect bottle for any occasion. Don't pass this place up. There is nothing like it nearby (even in Annapolis) that can compare to the price and quality of food and service I have received and I will definitely be back again and again.

Our experience here was nothing less than extraordinary. Saturday night, we came in for dinner and were greeted by a few hostesses and immediately shown to our table. The service was professional, fast and unmatched by many. We had the roasted Brie and grilled octopus to start (absolutely amazing) followed by two of the best dishes I've had all year. We tried one of the specials and a NY strip. Sooooo great! To finish the evening, we both had some lemoncello. All in all, one of the best evenings we have ever had. Thank you so much Jessy for making it possible and many thanks to the rest of the staff who all contributed to our immaculate night out!

This was my 2nd visit to Grille 620. Our visit this time was for a Saturday brunch. Tony was our server and he was just great! Very attentive and made some stellar recommendations. We got the Crab Artichoke dip to start and it was delicious. I also enjoyed my BLAT sandwich with potato hash and fresh fruit. My fiancé got the shrimp and grits and said they were "good" I tried them and I agree they were yummy but I think he was expecting more of a savory and creole seasonings and they were a rich Parmesan creamy. Nothing bad just not what we are use to getting. The French press coffee also hit the spot. We opted out of adult beverages but they do have a $12 bottomless mimosa or champagne for brunch. I also want to give a special addition to the lobster roll I had last time. I was on the fence about getting it again but opted to try something different. It was so delicious! A lighter version tossed in a citrus mayo not like the heavy drawn butter lobster rolls. I found it refreshing and not as heavy on he stomach. From my understanding one is "Maine" style and one is "Connecticut". Just a fun fact I recently learned (hey I'm a Tennesseean living in Maryland give me a break!)

Great for both indoor and outdoor dining. Friendly service and a great selection of food, wine and beer. Scallops and asparagus were on point, and the Yum Yum burger with thin, shoestring fries is a must try!

I love this restaurant. It is my most favorite restaurant in all of Howard County. Happy hours are great and they have awesome food and drink specials. The staff is delightful. I have never had a bad meal here and the grille 620 burger is wonderful! The bus girl was so sweet and took great care of us, she always made sure our waters were always full :)

It was a beautiful evening so we sat outside for what was about to be a pleasurable yet not an entirely flawless experience. Started with the grilled calamari and burrata salad. The Cheese itself was dynamite but the tomatoes were hard and green. Personally I love green tomatoes but the menu should have specified that. The prosciutto in the dish was sublime and the seasoning was on point. The grilled calamari was just ok. It was tiny and kind of bland plus I had a vein in the middle of one that should have been cleaned out. I mistook it for a piece of plastic. For our entrees the lady had the seared tuna with tempura fried broccolini. The rubbing on the tuna was spicy and robust. The broccolini was good but the tempura needed to be cooked more as there was a bit of raw batter caked on the vegetable. My lobster and potato gnocchi with mushrooms was Richly divine and satisfying. The cream sauce was very heavy but it felt great going down. The gnocchi was cooked to absolute perfection. Best I've had in a long while. We skipped on dessert as there was really nothing that appealed to me outside your standard stuff. Kind of disappointed in the dessert menu to be honest. Another minor issue was that I noticed some tables had bread and others did not. It was one of those ask but don't tell policies which annoys me. Just give bread to everyone. Don't make the patrons ask for it. Bread is cheap.. Just give it to everyone. Our waiter drew was excellent. He was personable, experienced and funny.

When you walked in there's a very nice atmosphere and nice collection of classic jazz music. The staff was very nice and helpful and greeted everyone with a smile! We had Collin as our server and he was excellent, very helpful and knew the menu and give great recommendations. Now to the best part, the food everyone at the table said their food was great but as for me with the advice of Collin I had the ribeye sandwich and it was one of best sandwiches I've had in a long time and the garlic fries were so good!! I will be coming back again very soon!!!

We just had a great dinner at The Grille 620. The Crab Napoleon was amazing. Every bite was crab and avacodo. I ordered the butcher block t bone steak special, it was cooked to perfection. The roasted cauliflower is a must. Order the homemade lemoncello for the perfect after dinner drink The staff is one of the best in the area. They are all attentive and fun. Tony is our favorite. Special thanks to Jessie the general manager. She always makes you feel welcomed

Ive been now about 3 times and I think the place deserves a solid 4. Why, well because they make an amazing old fashioned. Also, I really like their mini burgers with onion strings. The food is ok, I had the shrimp and grits once. The grits could use a little more flavor and be less thick, oh and loose the egg, its not needed. The oysters are good for happy hour, I think they are a dollar. The place is cute and not overcrowded.

The menu is a bit smaller then most but everything on it is delicious. The best deal they have is having oysters for a $1 during happy hour. The lobster rolls are delicious and even the steak is done perfectly. The lobster gnocchi is pretty good as well and their house salad is awesome.

Fabulous Brunch! Everything was amazing from the French toast, best eggs I've ever had, bottomless mimosas, and a great outdoor ambience.

Really enjoyed date night at Grille 620. Great Food and really good service. Scallops were like butter and Blue Points were on point. Can't go wrong with the Blue Martini. We spent a more than expected which is the only reason for 4 stars rather than 5.

Food was ok. I think it could have been good? Our grilled octopus appetizer was way too salty but the greens/cannelloni beans were fine. We told the waiter the app was salty and he said he'd tell the chef. Oysters were fine. 2 Of our 3 seafood entrees were also really salty also. I wasn't sure if it was their normal seasoning but I almost gagged with the salt. Not good. And it was my parents anniversary dinner so I was disappointed for sure. To make up for it he gave us free champagne for my parents so I guess that's ok but I'm totally dehydrated now. He checked in on us midway through eating our entree so we didn't feel like waiting for a whole new entree either so we just left it as is. But overall ambiance/service was good otherwise. I'm not jumping to go back anytime soon. Maybe it was a fluke.

Let me start with, you don't expect this quality of food in this area. While I'm a huge fan of cheap eats, having lived in San Francisco for a long time, I'm also a bit of a food snob when it comes to higher-end dining. I don't mind spending $150+ on dinner, IF it's a great dinner. And my two experiences at Grille 620 have been exceptional. The food is by-far the best I've had since moving back to Ellicott City last year. Fresh, well-seasoned, beautiful presentation, substantial portions and very reasonably priced for the quality. I've tried the beet salad (fantastic, and I'm not a fan of beets), the Maryland crab soup (perfectly seasoned and a reasonable portion of meat and vegetables), the tuna tartare (wonderfully combined with seaweed salad, though could be a bit more focused on the fish), the lobster gnocci (my favorite seafood dish there), the ribeye sandwich (I could eat this for lunch everyday) and several of the steaks (always cooked and seasoned perfectly). And my go-to dessert (the brownie ice-cream sundae) is always fantastic. If I had one piece of feedback for management -- institute a corkage fee and allow patrons to bring their own wine; I'd be happy to pay $10-20/bottle. I'm not a huge fan of any of the under-$50 selections, and while the $50 Simi Cab is decent, if we could bring our own, we'd probably eat here a good bit more often. Overall, Grille 620 is my favorite middle-to-higher-end restaurant in the area, and I look forward to many more great meals here.

I went here for HH, and was impressed by the selection of food. My friend and I ordered from the HH menu- steak strips, muscles, wings, a brie plate, 2 drinks and a dessert. We ended up only paying about $55. The quality of the food was great. The only complaint I have was the cook of our steak. We asked for medium, and it was more well done. We sat in the bar area, which was conveniently located right by the bathrooms. I have no complaints about the cleanliness of the bathrooms or the restaurant itself. There are about 6 tvs. It was nice that they broadcasted all of the local games (basketball, hockey, baseball). I would recommend this place to a friend, and will probably be coming back the next time I'm in the area.

What a gem of a place! I stumbled upon Grille620 based on a recommendation of a friend in the area. I was not disappointed. Great, unique, wine selection by the glass. I had an interesting Italian wine I had never heard of that paired wonderfully with my filet which was also cooked to a perfect medium rare. Service was seamless, friendly, and efficient. I literally can't wait to go back.

This place is probably the best American steak new age restaurant in the area. The Bison Burger was off the hook ( Bison is a leaner healthier meet compared to beef) the steak and seafood are also really good. Depending on the day they have special steak cuts. Come early if you want to get a table on the weekend I mean like 4pm, place gets very busy fri/sat. Or make a reservation in advance. The place is not cheap expect to spend $100 on a two person meal, however this would include 1 drink/appetizer/1 desert not including tip seems to be about avg. I've eating here 3 times and all 3 times I've loved it. If u like great food come here

Wow - just wow. This place is my new fav!! Some of, if not the fastest and friendliest service I've ever had. Though our waitress Amanda had far less personality then some of the other wait staff, but still, she was ok. I mean, when you're greeted at the front door by someone opening it for you and smiling and have what appeared to be a personal water-refiller all night, the waitress's lack-of-bubbliness doesn't seem that important. The atmosphere is perfect. Couples on dates (us :) were seated across from families and we all ate harmoniously. The music was also perfect!! Very sexy and low key. Ok - now the food. We order the fried calamari which came out perfectly cooked and delicious about 3min after we ordered - I mean FAST!! I was so happy! We both ordered the shrimp risotto which came out about 25min later (again, perfect timing). I do have so say, my risotto was very heavily salted. Almost to the point where I couldn't eat it. But my good mood helped me ignore my rising blood pressure and chalk that up to simple human error. If I get it again, I'll prob mention it was a bit too salty for me so they can adjust. But the menu is amazing and we WILL be back to try more and enjoy this oasis of a date spot. PS: I still ate my leftovers the next day cause even with the massive salt level - it was still delish! Tip: making your reservation for 6pm helps you avoid the rush and eat much faster! Ours was at 6 and when we arrived the place was calm and about 1/3 full. This allowed us to eat fast. But about 1/2 through our meal it started to get packed, so we got to enjoy the vibes of that as well!

Overall the food is above average but the grill octopus and lobster roll is way over cooked. It's too chewy like it has been microwaved. The oysters are fresh and clean. The burgers are great, yum yum and bison. They give you a huge portion of fries. It's one of the better restaurants in EC. Great addition to the town.

Underwhelming Brunch fare. Chicken and waffles were actually wayyyy too much chicken breast to waffle proportion. The siracha maple drizzle and accompaniment just wasn't tasty and was like putting mayonnaise on a waffle with syrup and siracha also slathered with a bizarre soggy unnecessary slaw. Shrimp and grits had little to no flavor aside from a pork belly garnish and the mimosas were EXTREMELY watered down. Was like drinking from pitchers of bottomless dish water. The location is nice and the decor and ambiance were impressive. I like that there's a parking lot as it's conveniently located in a shopping center where there was a specialty wine depot and a pet store I thoroughly enjoyed. The oysters on the half shell were also fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. Service for Easter Sunday brunch was even really good. There are too many other far superior brunch options in this area for me to recommend bad food and drink but perhaps if I'm in the area and Facci next door is overcrowded for happy hour I'd stop in for dollar oysters. Oh and the crab artichoke dip was also pretty terrible.

I'm so happy to finally have such a great restaurant so close to my house. Everything is really good here. Great choice of fresh (and unique) seafood and meats. Everything is well-prepared and seasoned wonderfully. The atmosphere is really nice with plenty of families and couples dining out, including a wonderful outdoor seating area. The alcohol selection is really great; I've personally watched the manager hand-select wines from his vendor while there for lunch one day.
